A guide for tourism businesses |
How can I ensure my business is promoted through one of your guides?
Place an advertisement
We offer a limited number of advertising/sponsorship opportunities which range from run of site ads to specific page ads. Contact us for further details and rates.
Become a Member and benefit from promotional advertorial
We offer carefully selected businesses the opportunity to benefit from an illustrated full feature-length advertorial article written by our professional team. In the extremely unlikely event that following our inspection visit we feel the negative aspects outweigh the positive, we reserve the right not to publish and will inform the owner of our decision.
We charge a one-off joining fee and an annual membership fee for this facility and your feature remains on the site for one calendar year from the date of publication. Unlike tourist boards, and other guides and publications which charge exorbitant annual fees for an entry which often includes little more than your business name, address and a few lines of self-written text, your entry in our guides is feature length and independently written.
Promotional advertorial is by far the "safest" way to promote your business, as you have a degree of control over how the feature appears and an article that remains on the site will continue to attract new readers year after year. Contact us for an information sheet and our current rates.
Through editorial
Our editorial team contacts a very select number of businesses each year inviting them to be featured on the site. On occasion, we also anonymously visit businesses and write up the results of our visit. The upside of editorial is you could end up with a glowing article which has cost you absolutely nothing; the downside of editorial is that the business owner has absolutely no control over what is written, and if the occasion of the team's visit turns out to be a complete disaster, you could end up with an article that is less than complimentary about your business.
That said, don't be frightened if our editor happens to contact you. She doesn't bite: it's likely she's read something quirky about your business that's piqued her interest.
